Marking 50 Years with Friends of the Museums

 These markers serve as focal points for a city-wide scavenger hunt, inviting participants to explore Mississauga's parks, community hubs, and cultural landmarks. Each marker is embedded with rich historical content, including stories, videos, historical images, and quizzes, all accessible through the History Hunt app. The grant funding facilitated the creation and implementation of this innovative project, enhancing community engagement and historical awareness among Mississauga residents.

The scavenger hunt format encourages exploration and interaction with local heritage sites, fostering a sense of civic pride and belonging. Moreover, the partnership with Heritage Mississauga has enriched the project with invaluable research, historical images, and access to the History Hunt app, demonstrating collaborative efforts to celebrate and preserve Mississauga's heritage.
